The Madison Review Extended Cut: no. 9

Hello there! Welcome back to The Madison Review's web series, The Extended Cut, where we showcase exceptional work that was not selected for the fall or spring editions of our journal. This week, we are pleased to share 'The Habit' a short story by Dustin Stoddart which delicately balances the anxiety and particularities of Mr. Saisonne's "cultivated habit" with a healthy dose of humor that can only be found in a kindergarten classroom. 'The Habit' was a huge hit with many of our fiction staff members -- we hope you enjoy! Dustin Stoddart lives in Seattle, Washington. His most recent short stories have appeared in The Free Library of the Internet Void and Archipelago: The Allegory Ridge Fict
